Surfacing widgets to end users
Moneyhub widgets can be surfaced to your users/customers in one of two ways.
-
You can use the provided URL to navigate the journey out of the box. This journey will have a Moneyhub domain URL(accessible through the widget's preview button). This is known as a hosted or Moneyhub-hosted widget and can be implemented with no-code.
-
If you wish for any of the below, you should use a self-hosted widget. This will require you to develop the site and journey surrounding the widget.
- The widget page should appear to be part of your existing domain.
- You want to embed the widget into a broader experience (such as an application flow).
Moneyhub-hosted
Widgets are automatically accessible on the Moneyhub platform. Once created, you don't need to take additional steps to make them available.
If a widget takes parameters, then the details of how to adjust the URL to include them are detailed on the widget's page
Self-hosted
Single Journey versus Personal Finance Management(PFM) widgets
If there is no expectation that a user will be able to 'log back in' to the journey this signifies that widget required is a Single Journey variant. Examples of this is the payments widget or the decisioning widgets.
If there is an expectation of a persisted user profile, then this is likely a PFM widget.
There are widgets that are available as either Single Journey or PFM such as the Connections widget. If you are using such a widget then please ensure you use the appropriate guide to ensure your users experience the intended functionality.
